Ultrasound Technology at Augusta GYN

We are truly excited to be able to provide our patients with the newest technology for their improved health care. We have recently acquired new ultrasound equipment that offers 3D and live 4D imaging. In obstetrics the live or “real-time” 4D imaging will allow our patients to truly see their babies. The 4D renderings accurately depict the unborn baby’s face with expression. Yawns and blinking eyes add to the personality of the child. Bonding between parents (mother and father equally) as well as reassurance of a normal baby is now improved and available with 4D imaging.

Our 3 D technology allows for better diagnostic opportunity in both the obstetric and gynecologic patient. The improved ability for tissue differentiation as well as volume assessment permits more accurate identification of uterine and ovarian tumors, ectopic pregnancies and vascular anatomy.
